1 min read

“Roads and Roads are everywhere, but Good roads are very rare”.The roads open up new avenues of development and economic prosperity along with better education to nourish the future generations. But when the road is in dilapidated condition, the story turns critical. A self-narrating road connecting Patrara to Ghambir Mughalan has been waiting for attention of the concerned authorities for the last 5 years. The 10 Km long road, connecting 15 thousands people residing in 5 villages, has been shouting loudly and the people have been striking thier heads at the walls but all prove to be in vain.
It is in serious condition & causes accidents. It causes severe damages to the running vehicles. Poor drainage system has rendered damage to the roads from bad to worst.
This problem has reached at its extreme and is consequently, creating anxiety among the people. Dr. Shahid Iqbal, former DC Rajauri had assured in a public meating that road would get repaired on the priority bases but his ultimely transfer from Rajauri withered the hopes of people.
Local residents, when contacted, are very distressed with with step-motherly treatment with the area.
Although efforts of people proved waste, there remains a glimmer of hope that His Excellency Governor Satya Malik and Ajaz Asad DC Rajauri will look into the matter seriously and take some prompt and necessary action to overcome this problem.
