“Kashmiris” assualted in Shimla; an attempt of mob-lynching.

Kufri(Shimla): Another incident of attempt to mob-lynching took place, when two boys belonging to Pir Panjal Area of Jammu and Kashmir, when beating mercilessly on January 10, 2018.
Zaffar Iqbal, a businessman and Arshad Khan, Avocate J&K High Court residents of district Poonch and Rajouri respectively were on trip to Kufri (Shimla).

As reported, they were physically assaulted by a group of people and abused them and called names to “Kashmiris”.

“They called us ‘Kashmiri terrorists’ and abused all the Kashmiris”, said Zaffer Khan. “They could have killed us if we had not succeeded in running away”, he added. “After beating and battering the victims, the mob snatched away the licensed revolver, a gold chain, a wristwatch, and a cash of Rupees 30,000, kept for touring Shimla”, Zaffer added further.

Both the victims have received grievous injuries and are under treatment in Jammu and Kashmir.

Despite an FIR lodged in the Police Station Dhalli, no arrest have been made till date as the investigating officer is on leave.

Investigating Officer Dharam Singh, when contacted refused to term it as a case of moblynching. “However no arrests have been made so far, as I am on leave”, he told .
